Job summary

Low Carbon Contracts Company is seeking a Finance Reporting Manager to lead the team responsible for all operational costs, management accounts, and DESNZ submissions. You will report to the Finance Manager and drive robust financial reporting and process improvements.

The role requires leading a team, strong Excel/Power BI skills, and extensive stakeholder engagement, with hybrid work in Leeds city centre or Birmingham city centre.

Qualifications

• A fully qualified accountant with a recognised body and post qualification experience.
• Advanced Excel skills with multi-dimensional financial modelling.
• Experience leading a team and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI and data analysis from ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Python and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with IFRS and financial policy alignment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver management reporting to the Board and senior management with insights on variances and trends.
• Own reporting to DESNZ and ensure compliance with reporting letters.
• Develop monthly reporting with cost centres and funding schemes.
• Oversee allocations between schemes and IFRS-aligned month-end tasks.
• Line-manage the Management Accountant, Assistant Manager and Analysts.
• Oversee invoicing to DESNZ and intercompany processes.
• Oversee payroll collaboration with People team and procurement controls.
• Support year-end statutory accounts and external reporting.
