Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with a growing organisation to recruit a Financial Reporting Analyst. Based in the UK, the role sits at the heart of the finance function, driving modernisation of financial and KPI reporting across a multi-entity group.

You will streamline processes, build reliable reporting solutions, and own automated reporting to enable smarter decision-making. The role involves developing automated reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and building scalable

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of Power Query/Power Pivot or other BI tools with a proactive learning attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy, integrity, and large dataset management.
• Good understanding of management accounting principles and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Confident communicator capable of supporting colleagues effectively with finance systems and data.

Responsibilities

• Develop, automate, and optimise reporting processes to enhance business insights.
• Manage finance and operational data, investigate discrepancies, and contribute to data reconciliation.
• Support system administration and user queries, including testing and system upgrades to improve functionality.
• Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis to inform decisions.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources and ensure consistent, validated reporting outputs.
• Build scalable Excel, Power Query and Power Pivot models, with scope to support dashboard development.
• Strengthen data structures, workflows and templates to support a system upgrade and ongoing improvements.
