Job Description

  • Design and implement a new project finance tracking process and train relevant teams, including designing standardised project trackers.
  • Work closely with the PM team to standardise units of work definitions.
  • Collaborate with Project Management and functional leads to accurately record actual and forecasted units and their value monthly.
  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure timely invoice issuance.
  • Monitor the overall project cash position, including services, PTCs, Grants, outstanding invoices, and advances.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and support year-end and interim audits.
  • Contribute to the Change Order (CO) process by accurately recording out-of-scope units and other inputs.
  • Provide accurate client reports within agreed timescales and according to client requirements.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports to clients.
  • Respond promptly to client queries.
  • Review monthly revenue variances and provide explanations.
  • Evaluate current processes and suggest improvements.
  • Support the implementation of a new ERP system.
  • Work on projects and areas of specialty as agreed with the Line Manager.
  • Assist the wider Finance team.
  • Stay updated on local and global revenue regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

The Finance Project Analyst will work with the Project Management team to design and implement a new process for recording and tracking project performance. They will work closely with the project team to accurately record all financial data, including actuals, forecasts, PTCs, and cash position. The analyst is expected to be the finance expert and primary contact supporting the client, challenging teams when necessary, and escalating concerns appropriately.
