We are proud that together, our teams are supporting delivery of some of the largest solar and battery storage schemes in the United Kingdom and Europe. We have a strong pipeline of opportunities across the energy, residential and infrastructure sectors.

We offer an environment that is diverse, entrepreneurial and encourages innovation and your professional development.

As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we believe in each person’s potential, and we’ll help you reach yours.

This is a Finance Partner-level role for an experienced, capable finance professional who can hit the ground running. You will operate as a finance partner from day one — but with the emphasis firmly on getting hands-on into the detail of the business first. We are looking for someone who will earn credibility through that grounding, then be trusted to lead on a finance systems migration and broaden into a group-wide partnering role.

You will partner with the business throughout; the three phases below describe where the emphasis sits as scope and responsibility expand:

Phase 1 – Grounding in the Business (partnering from day one)

You will start hands-on, taking ownership of core financial administration – raising invoices, data entry and maintaining accurate financial records – to quickly build a detailed, first‑hand understanding of the subsidiary's numbers, processes and systems. Alongside this, you will act as a trusted point of contact for operational teams from the outset, offering commercial insight as your understanding of the business deepens.

Phase 2 – Subsidiary Systems Migration

Building on that grounding, you will become the key finance lead for migrating the subsidiary onto the platform company's finance systems, taking full ownership, with support from the finance systems manager, of ensuring the numbers are complete, reconciled and watertight throughout the transition.

Phase 3 – Planning Finance Partner

Once the migration is complete, the role will expand into a finance business partnering position, supporting planning and development activity across the wider group, not just the one subsidiary.

The desired applicant will be self‑motivated, dynamic, analytical and commercially astute, with the credibility and experience to work closely with the wider finance team and collaborate strongly with operational departments from day one. You should be comfortable getting into the detail early on, while bringing the seniority and judgement needed to lead a systems migration and later operate as a trusted finance partner.

The role will provide guidance and support to all levels of the business (from consultant through to directors), with the opportunity to build relationships at every level. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for a role with real scope to grow in ownership and influence over time.

If successful, you will:

  • Raise monthly sales invoices accurately and on time, with a view to maximise revenue;
  • Accurate, timely data entry, ensuring all project and financial information is up to date;
  • Act as a day-to-day link between the Finance team and Operational Business Units;
  • Be a reliable and efficient source of information and resolution for the operational team;
  • Resolve client queries relating to invoices and financial data in a timely manner;
  • Support the production of supplementary reports for the monthly management accounts;
  • Review project financials to identify additional charges for variations and out-of-scope work;
  • Begin partnering with operational leads from day one, offering commercial insight on project performance as your understanding of the business builds.
Phase 2: Subsidiary Systems Migration (as you progress)
  • Act as the key finance contact for migrating a subsidiary's financial data and processes onto the platform company's finance systems;
  • Own data validation and reconciliation, ensuring all figures are complete, accurate and ‘watertight’ before, during and after migration;
  • Work with IT, finance systems teams and the subsidiary's operational leads to plan and sequence the migration;
  • Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies between legacy and new systems;
  • Document migration processes and controls to support audit and governance requirements;
  • Provide regular reviews and updates to finance leadership on migration progress and risk.
Phase 3: Group Finance Partner (longer-term development)
  • Act as finance business partner for planning and development activity across multiple business units within the group, not solely the original subsidiary;
  • Provide commercial and financial guidance to operational leaders, supporting decision‑making on projects, resourcing and investment;
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes across partnered business units;
  • Build relationships at all levels, from Consultant through to Board, delivering a consistent, high‑quality finance partnering service;
  • Contribute to the continued development of finance processes, systems and reporting across the group.
Essential Requirements
  • 2-5+ years' experience in a similar finance/finance partnering role, able to operate independently from day one;
  • AAT qualified (or qualified by experience); part/fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) also welcome
  • Comfortable working hands‑on with detailed transactional finance (invoicing, data entry, reconciliations) as well as operating at a more strategic, business‑partnering level
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, able to handle high volumes of data with accuracy
  • Proven ability to lead or contribute significantly to a finance systems migration or major process change, with a rigorous approach to data integrity
  • Strong personal drive to deliver accurate, detailed results to expected timeframes;
  • Excellent communication skills, with the credibility to build relationships and influence at all levels, from Consultant through to Board;
  • Advanced Excel;
  • Strong commercial focus with a clear understanding of what drives business results.
Desirable Requirements
  • Deltek Vantagepoint experience (or other Deltek products);
  • Xero or similar experience;
  • Direct experience of finance systems migrations or ERP/finance platform implementations;
  • Professional services background, ideally in the Planning process.
