Job summary

Ogier Legal Limited in Jersey seeks a Paralegal to support the Banking & Finance team, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of matters. You will work closely with fee earners and clients to ensure accurate matter setup and efficient case progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in a paralegal role or suitable academic credentials (LPC/GDL/LLB).
• Tech-savvy with high attention to detail and an organised approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Support fee earners and meet target chargeable hours.
• Assist with budgets, WIP, and aged debt reporting.
• Perform searches and draft/amend legal documents.
• Serve as primary liaison between fee-earners and clients.
• Set up new client matters in accounting/database systems and maintain records.
• Keep files up to date and archive when matters conclude.
• Manage client-specific BD arrangements as needed.
• Delegate administration tasks per team workflow.
• Utilise Global Support Team services.
• Provide assistance to fee-earners and clients on legal issues.
• Support innovation and new tech initiatives.
• Screen calls, take messages, and arrange conference/outgoing calls.
