Job summary

Global Fashion Group, London-based finance team, is seeking a Finance Operations Assistant to manage accounts payable, cash flow handling and journal postings for holding entities across the Group. You will partner with Treasury, Group Finance and product teams to deliver accurate planning and reporting.

The role emphasizes process improvement, AI and automation opportunities, and timely payment runs. Part-qualified or foundational level in ACCA/ACCA/CIMA or AAT is supported, with strong Excel

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or at the foundational stage of a recognized professional finance qualification (such as AAT, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills; experience with SAP or ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Mindset & Work Ethic: Organised, self-starter, detail-oriented, eager to learn and develop, with a strong get-things-done attitude.

Responsibilities

• Input invoices into the system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Execute weekly payment runs and contribute to cashflow planning and forecasting.
• Manage day-to-day accounts payable processes and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Handle Concur and credit card queries and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper coding, approval, and documentation of invoices in accordance with company policy.
• Clean and reconcile Accounts Payable G/L accounts on a regular basis.
• Post journal entries and support month-end close activities.
• Assist in the year-end audit process and support external audit queries.
• Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and requests as required.
• Identify and explore AI and automation opportunities within daily workflows to optimise processes and drive operational efficiency.
