Jo Holdsworth Recruitment Ltd is working with an established IT services business in Leeds to recruit a Finance & Operations Manager. This hands-on role leads the finance function and supports a range of wider business activities, reporting to the founder.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, manage cash flow and budgeting, handle VAT and year-end information, oversee a junior finance assistant, and seek opportunities to improve processes through technology and automation.

Qualifications

• Experience managing SME finances with hands-on and strategic input.
• Ability to manage cash flow, budgets and forecasts.
• Knowledge of VAT and year-end processes.

Responsabilités

• Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L and balance sheet.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting and forecasting, with seasonal fluctuations.
• Monitor performance against budgets and targets for decision support.
• Prepare VAT returns and calculate corporation tax liabilities.
• Prepare year-end information for external accountants.
• Oversee billing, contract income and related processes.
• Lead and support one finance team member; provide guidance on finance matters.
• Support HR administration and health & safety coordination with external support.
• Identify improvements in processes via technology, automation and AI.
