Job summary

Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking a Finance Officer within the Corporate Taxation and Debt Section of the Finance Department. The role involves handling customer enquiries, maintaining records, assisting in income collection and progressing cases through recovery stages.

Based at Lambpit Street, the post is a 37-hour week with emphasis on bilingual service delivery. We welcome applicants who are suitably qualified and committed to delivering high-quality council tax and debt collection

Job description

A vacancy has arisen within the Corporate Taxation and Debt Section of the Finance Department, for a suitable qualified Finance Officer.

37 hours per week.

The Section is based in the Lambpit Street offices and deals with the collection of income due to the authority including: council tax, non-domestic rates, sundry debt and former tenant arrears.

We are seeking to appoint a person who is able to:

• Deal with customer enquiries
• Maintain accurate administrative records
• Assist in the collection of income due to the authority
• Progress cases through appropriate recovery stages.
