Job summary

Sellick Partnership is recruiting a Finance Officer for a charity in Liverpool. The role supports day-to-day financial operations and offers exposure to budgeting, ledgers, supplier reconciliations and month-end tasks within a supportive team.

You will work hybrid in Liverpool, report to the Head of Finance, and develop wider finance experience while pursuing an AAT qualification with potential study support.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Office suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain financial records and support ledger management.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve queries.
• Support credit control and monitor outstanding balances.
• Assist with weekly payment runs and bank reconciliations.
• Process staff and volunteer expenses.
• Support Gift Aid administration and restricted fund accounting.
• Assist with month-end processes, reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain robust financial controls and audit trails.
• Build effective working relationships across Finance, Fundraising and Operations teams.
