Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Finance Manager in Wheatley, UK to oversee the accounting and finance function, manage budgets, and provide solid financial insights to support business decisions. You will build annual budgets, oversee financial reporting, manage payroll with external accountants, monitor cash flow, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining accurate records in Xero.

AAT qualification or ACCA/CIMA, experience in SME finance, strong analytical and leadership skills, and

Qualifications

Regulatory knowledge and accounting principles.
Experience running a finance function in an SME.
Qualified or part-qualified with ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
Experience in budgets and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Build the budget for the coming financial year and report actual performance against it
Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Provide detailed analysis to support decision-making processes.
Manage the monthly payroll process, liaising with external accountants who run payroll.
Monitor cash flow and forecast financial performance.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Own and maintain accurate, reliable financial records in Xero
Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies.
Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and banks
