Job summary

RG Consultancy are delighted to be working with a construction group based in Middleton who are looking to add a Finance Manager to the team. Reporting to the Financial Controller this role oversees the management accounts for two entities within the group.

This role offers the chance to develop to a Financial Controller position. Strong Excel skills and experience working in a construction environment would be ideal.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA with strong Excel skills.
• Experience preparing management accounts for multiple entities.
• Construction industry experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for two entities.
• Oversee sales and purchase ledger clerk.
• Post journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cashflow control.
• Conduct intercompany reconciliations and statutory filings (VAT, CIS).
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities.

Due to continued growth, this excellent opportunity has arisen for someone to join the business and oversee the management accounts for 2 of the entities within the group.

Reporting to the Financial Controller this roles duties would include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Oversee sales and purchase ledger clerk
• Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
• Bank reconciliations
• Cashflow control
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Statutory filings - VAT, CIS etc.
• Budgeting and forecasting

This role offers the chance to get involved in a growing multi-company environment and would also suit someone who is part qualified CIMA/ACCA and looking to develop to a Financial Controller position. Strong Excel skills and experience working in a construction environment would be ideal.
