Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Wallingford seeks a part-time Qualified Finance Manager to lead the finance function, deliver accurate reporting, maintain strong controls, and enable confident decision-making at group level.

3 days a week (Wed, Thu, Fri 9am-5pm). One day could be from home (Thu). Salary c£40k pro rata c£24k; 27 days + bank holidays pro rata and life assurance. Office environment with parking and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical accounting ability with analytical thinking.
• Experience delivering financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Proven ability to build and develop teams and guide senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance function across the company with performance management.
• Prepare regular management accounts for group companies with clear financial insight.
• Manage budgets and cash flow, including inter-company arrangements.
• Oversee credit control and proactive financial risk management.
• Drive improvements in finance systems and processes.
• Support month and quarter-end processes and ensure information is accurate.
• Collaborate with auditors and stakeholders and meet statutory requirements.
• Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to support strategic actions.

Job description

My client, a nonprofit making values-led organisation in Wallingford, Oxfordshire is looking for a part-time Qualified Finance Manager to lead and develop the finance function-helping deliver accurate reporting, strong controls, and confident decision-making at group level.

3 days a week - Wed, Thursday and Friday 9am - 5pm

One day can be worked from home but it must be the Thursday.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead and develop the finance function across the company, including line and performance management
• Prepare regular management accounts for group companies and provide clear financial insight
• Manage budgets and cash flow, including complex inter-company arrangements
• Oversee credit control, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts and proactive financial risk management
• Drive continuous improvement in finance systems and processes
• Support robust month and quarter-end processes to ensure controls remain strong and information is accurate
• Collaborate with auditors and external stakeholders, and ensure statutory requirements are met (working closely with the Finance Manager - Service Charges)
• Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to support strategic actions within the corporate plan

What you'll bring:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or qualified by significant relevant experience)
• Strong technical accounting ability, analytical thinking, and commercial judgement
• Experience delivering financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Proven ability to build and develop teams, with a collaborative leadership style
• Confidence working with senior leadership and translating finance into practical guidance
