Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning on a part-time basis. You will produce management accounts, financial reports and performance analysis, guiding senior leaders with budgeting and decision-making.

You will oversee core finance operations, monitor performance, and drive process improvements while managing a small finance team. A collaborative, proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience producing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance and accounting best practice.
  • Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex financial information and communicate it clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience leading or supporting finance teams would be advantageous.
  • Experience within education, not-for-profit or other publicly funded environments would be beneficial but is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning process.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, financial reports and performance analysis.
  • Support senior leaders with financial decision-making and budget management.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective action where required.
  • Provide regular financial information and insight to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Oversee core finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, reconciliations and expenses.
  • Support payroll processes and monitor staffing costs against budget.
  • Complete month-end procedures including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, compliance and governance processes.
  • Manage and develop a small finance team while driving continuous improvement across systems and procedures.
  • Support audit requirements and act as a key contact for finance-related enquiries.
