Job summary

Willenhall-based engineering business seeks a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function. You will drive financial control, reporting and commercial analysis while supporting growth.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will influence profitability and cash flow through robust financial insight. The role combines hands-on financial management with strategic input in a small, growth‑oriented company.

Qualifications

• Commercially minded finance professional able to balance hands-on delivery with strategic insight.
• Experience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and reports.
• Strong understanding of cash flow management, VAT and financial compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the finance function, ensure accurate records, controls and timely reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Produce budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections; analyse profitability and variances.
• Oversee payroll, VAT, PAYE and compliance; manage credit control and working capital.
• Support MD with commercial decisions and business planning.
