Job summary

1313, a West Midlands Mechanical & Electrical contracting business, is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee all accounting and finance functions.

The role requires experience in construction/engineering sectors, managing ledgers, CIS, VAT, and month-end reporting, with strong financial controls and business insight.

You will lead a finance team and report to the Managing Director, with opportunities to shape the finance function and drive commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing purchase/sales ledgers and CIS.
• Experience managing credit control, applications for payment and retentions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchase & sales ledgers, CIS and subcontractor invoices.
• Manage credit control, applications for payment and retentions.
• Complete bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare CIS, VAT and Reverse VAT/DRC returns.
• Produce monthly cash flow and job costing analysis.
• Prepare year-end accounts and support the annual audit.
• Maintain strong financial controls and reporting.
• Provide commercial and financial insight to the Managing Director.
• Support and supervise the finance team.

I am recruiting for an Mechanical & Electrical contracting business based in the West Midlands seeking a Finance Manager

They seek a Finance Manager to manage all accounting and finance functions for the business

This Finance Manager must have worked within the Construction, Engineering and ideally the building services sector

Key Responsibilities
