Job summary

The CFO HQ is seeking a Finance Manager to join an established business in the Bournemouth area. You will report to the Finance Director and oversee day-to-day financial control, reporting and commercial support. This role blends operational and strategic finance across a multi-entity setup.

You will lead a small team, drive improvements in controls and processes, and partner with non-finance colleagues to support business decisions. Office-based with a focus on delivery and impact.

Qualifications

• Strong management accounting and VAT knowledge.
• Experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working for a group or multi-entity business.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• A positive, hands-on approach and continuous improvement mindset.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence with finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts.
• Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Review of VAT returns and group balance sheet reconciliations.
• Business partnering with operational stakeholders across the organisation.
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting.
• Leading, mentoring and developing the finance team.
• Supporting the Finance Director on strategic and operational initiatives.
