Job summary

Transaction Recruitment Ltd. partners with a growing logistics business in Coventry to appoint a Finance Manager. You will own the entire finance function, from monthly numbers to cash planning and commercial insight, with hybrid working and direct access to Directors.

The role requires a strong accounting background (ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred), hands-on management accounts, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting experience, and experience with stock/VAT; Sage 50 experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience producing management accounts and running day-to-day accounting.
• Experience with cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified preferred, part-qualified or QBE considered with practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Running the finance function day to day, acting as the go-to person for all things finance across the business
• Producing monthly management accounts covering P&L, balance sheet and cash position with timely, accurate figures for Directors
• Owning cash and working capital management, preparing cash forecasts and flagging funding needs
• Overseeing payroll, VAT returns and HMRC submissions, and supporting year-end/statutory accounts
• Analysing gross margins, product profitability and stock reporting to inform decisions
