Job summary

Finance Manager position in Egham with hybrid working available. The role is full-time and permanent, 35 hours per week, offering a salary between £53,000 and £58,000.

The successful candidate will lead the finance function for a vibrant charity affiliated with a University of London institution. Based in Egham with hybrid options, you will manage a small team and oversee monthly management accounts, forecasting, VAT, payroll and pensions, and support the annual audit and statutory accounts

Qualifications

• ACCA, CIMA or ACA accounting qualification.
• Strong experience of completing management accounts and financial forecasting.
• Strong working understanding of VAT.
• Experience of managing, mentoring and coaching a finance team.
• Good technical accounting knowledge, including month- and year-end.
• Ability to work at pace and manage competing priorities.
• Proactive, self-starter approach, comfortable taking ownership and getting things moving.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly management accounts and financial forecasting.
• Oversee VAT returns, payroll, pensions and financial controls.
• Support the annual audit and statutory accounts process.
• Lead a finance team of around 3 and report to the Head of Finance and Resources.
