Job summary

The Arora Group is a leading UK hotel owner and operator with a diverse portfolio. We are seeking a Finance Manager to own monthly management reporting, consolidation, budgeting and statutory accounts for our hotels and golf business.

The role is part of the Group Finance team, driving process improvements, new systems and controls while working closely with hotel finance teams on-site five days a week.

Qualifications

• Full Qualified Accountant with ACA or ACCA and 3+ years PQE.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics finance package is advantageous.
• Experience in management accounting and reporting, hospitality sector preferred.
• Experience in statutory audit and reporting.
• Strong data analysis and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of how each hotel and the golf club operates, including revenue streams, cost drivers and points of difference.
• Manage the month end Hotels & Golf reporting and consolidation process including regular reviews of reporting timetables, templates and deliverables to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Review and provide feedback on monthly P&L and balance sheet narratives for each hotel and the golf club.
• Perform regular reviews of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure policy compliance.
• Oversee the cash flow positions and cash forecasts for each hotel and the golf club.
• Review and approve credit requests and capex submissions.
• Oversee the management accounting for the hotel property companies.
• Manage the annual budget process for the hotels and golf club.
• Manage the external audit process for hotels, golf club and hotel property companies, providing support where required.
• Prepare the statutory accounts for the hotels, golf club and hotel property companies.
• Assist with the hotels statutory consolidation.
• Provide operational support for the hotels and golf club with regular on-site interactions with the local finance teams.
• Develop new systems, policies, procedures, controls and manage their implementation.
• Play an active role in the business transformation and be an advocate for change and improvement.
