Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Finance Manager to join an established business in Fife. This broad, hands-on role gives ownership of the day-to-day finance function and provides key financial insight to support performance and decision-making.

You'll work with senior stakeholders to oversee core finance activities, maintain robust controls, and drive improvements across systems and processes. Salary circa 45,000-50,000 FTE, pro-rated for a flexible 3-day week, with private medical insurance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Accountant or similar role.
• Management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Understanding of AP, AR and payroll processes.
• Experience using cloud-based accounting systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Demonstrable interpersonal skills.
• An interest in improving systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day finance operations across the business.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and wider business decision-making.
• Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management activities.
• Preparing monthly management information and financial reports.
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Providing payroll support and cover when required.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting.
• Working closely with stakeholders across the business to provide financial support and insight.
