Job summary

Search is recruiting a Finance Manager for an established business in Fife. This role offers broad, hands-on ownership of the day-to-day finance function and the chance to provide key financial insight to support performance and decision-making.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will oversee core finance activities, maintain robust controls and drive improvements across systems and processes in a supportive environment. Flexibility and autonomy are key.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Accountant or similar role.
• Experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
• Understanding of AP, AR and payroll processes.
• Experience using cloud-based accounting systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Demonstrable interpersonal skills.
• Interest in improving systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day finance operations across the business
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and wider business decision-making
• Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management activities
• Preparing monthly management information and financial reports
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and reporting
• Providing payroll support and cover when required
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting
• Working closely with stakeholders across the business to provide financial support and insight
