Job summary

The CFO HQ in Scotland is seeking a Finance Manager to lead day-to-day finance operations, provide accurate management information and support decision-making. This role offers ownership of the finance function with autonomy and collaboration with senior stakeholders.

You will manage budgeting, forecasting, AP/AR and payroll processes, assist with month-end and year-end activities, and drive system improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Accountant or similar role
• Management accounting and financial reporting experience
• Understanding of AP, AR and payroll processes
• Experience using cloud-based accounting systems
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
• Demonstrable interpersonal skills
• Interest in improving systems and processes

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day finance operations across the business
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and wider business decision-making
• Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management activities
• Preparing monthly management information and financial reports
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and reporting
• Providing payroll support and cover when required
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting
• Collaborating with stakeholders to provide financial insight and support
