Job summary

Curtis Recruitment Limited is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager in Oxford to own the day-to-day finance function and act as a key commercial partner to the senior leadership team.

You will own month-end close, manage a small team, and collaborate with senior leaders to set annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and treasury strategies, across multiple sites. UK GAAP experience and ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualification are essential, with strong stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
• Experience in a similar role within retail/consumer services is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day finance function and month-end close process.
• Lead and mentor a Finance Assistant and ensure accurate transactional processing.
• Develop annual budgets, rolling cash forecasts, and treasury strategies.
• Oversee controls and ledger integrity across multiple operating sites.
• Support compliance including VAT, payroll reviews, and UK GAAP year-end accounts.
• Lead monthly financial review meetings with non-finance stakeholders to drive performance.
