Job summary

Marc Daniels is recruiting a Finance Controller to lead the finance function in a growing SME with retail exposure. You will own monthly management accounts, board reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.

This is a senior, commercially aware role working with senior leadership to drive profitability, process improvements, and inventory control within a stock-led environment. Strong IFRS/UK GAAP knowledge and excellent stakeholder communication are essential.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
• Previous experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar senior finance role.
• Strong management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow experience.
• Proven experience within a retail or consumer products business.
• Experience operating within a stock-led environment, including inventory and margin reporting.
• Strong financial systems and Excel skills.
• Experience working within a growing SME.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Finance Controller

Oxfordshire | Permanent | c£55,000-£65,000 per annum + benefits

Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a growing retail business to recruit an experienced Finance Controller.

This is a key leadership position within a successful SME, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the finance function and work closely with senior leadership to drive business performance, profitability, and future growth.

The successful candidate will combine strong financial control with commercial awareness and will have previous experience working within a retail or stock-led trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance function.
