The role offers ownership of a broad finance remit, producing management accounts, analysing performance, and delivering meaningful financial insight to senior stakeholders. There is hybrid working after an initial office presence, with clear career progression in a growing business.

Qualifications

• Experience within an SME environment, ideally in a hands-on Management Accountant or Finance Manager role
• Strong month-end and management accounts experience
• Commercially minded with experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Proactive, hands-on and confident working with senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end process through to the production of accurate management accounts
• Prepare KPI reporting, variance analysis and meaningful financial commentary
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Support VAT, R&D tax claims, year-end audit and statutory reporting
• Provide financial insight across the manufacturing operation, including inventory, cost accounting and margin analysis
• Drive improvements across finance processes, systems and reporting
• Work closely with operational and senior leadership teams to support commercial decision-making

With continued growth and investment, the organisation is looking to strengthen its finance function with the appointment of an experienced finance professional who can take ownership of a broad remit.

This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant or Finance Manager to take genuine ownership of a broad finance role.
