Job summary

Blusource Professional Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for a newly created role due to growth within the SME group. Derbyshire-based, the position offers day-to-day financial operations leadership and a chance to implement structured processes across the finance function.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Finance, manage the finance team, and drive timely monthly reporting.

Finance Manager

Derbyshire £40,000-£48,000 Full-time

Initially a 3-6-month contract, with strong potential to become permanent.

The role is a newly created one due to the growth of this SME group of businesses. With even furthergrowth planned, theyare seeking an experienced, hands‑on Finance Manager to bring extra capacity and structure to thefinance function.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial operations and lead the finance team. Priorities will be bringing records up to date, reviewing workloads and responsibilities, and introducing processes that support accurate, timely reporting.

We are open to qualified, part-qualified or qualified‑by‑experience applicants.

More important is your ability to hit the ground running, organise and communicate confidently with different personalities. Previous team management or supervisory experience is a bonus, but not a prerequisite, along with knowledge of Sage 50.

This role is initially office‑based between Derby and Burton upon Trent, with the option to work from home one day per week once established. Condensed hours across four longer days are considered.
