RECfinancial are partnering with a rapidly growing business to recruit a Finance Manager based in Kegworth, Leicestershire. This role will be hands-on, taking ownership of management accounts, cashflow forecasting, budgeting and VAT/CIS, with a clear pathway to Finance Director as the company scales.

You will work closely with Directors and a supporting bookkeeper to build the in-house finance function, offering commercial insight and proactive financial leadership to drive growth.

Job description

RECfinancial are partnering with an ambitious and rapidly growing business to recruit a Finance Manager based in Kegworth, Leicestershire.

The role is commutable from Leicester, Loughborough, Coalville, Melton Mowbray, Burton upon Trent, Derby, Nottingham and surrounding areas.

This is a newly created role offering a genuine pathway to Finance Director as the business continues to grow. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in bringing the finance and accounts function in-house, taking increasing ownership away from the external accountants and helping build the internal finance function for the future.

This will be a very hands-on Finance Manager position. The business is looking for someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves, get into the details and take ownership of management accounts, cashflow forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, VAT, CIS and commercial reporting.

You won't be starting completely from scratch. From day one, you will be supported by an experienced Bookkeeper, who will take responsibility for the transactional finance activity, allowing you to focus on managing the wider finance function while still remaining close to the numbers.

There is significant autonomy to improve systems, controls and reporting as the business scales. You will work closely with the Directors, providing commercial insight, supporting key decisions and helping create a finance function capable of supporting the next stage of growth.

This could suit an established Finance Manager or Financial Controller, or an ambitious Senior Management Accountant ready to step into a broader role. ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or nearing qualification is preferred, but above all, the business wants someone commercially minded, proactive and comfortable operating in a growing SME environment.

The salary is £65,000 - £75,000 DOE, including a £5,000 car allowance, a performance-related bonus, and a competitive benefits package.
