Job summary

The CFO HQ in Rotherham is seeking a Finance Manager to own the day-to-day finance function within a growing SME. You will work closely with the Managing Director, providing accurate financial information to support business decisions and growth.

The role covers bookkeeping, management accounts, P&L analysis, cash-flow forecasting, month-end processes and reporting, plus managing an accounts administrator. Hands-on, proactive applicants will fit well.

Qualifications

• Experience as Finance Manager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and financial processes.
• IT literacy including Excel.
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy SME environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and journals.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Produce detailed P&L analysis and highlight key trends.
• Prepare cash-flow forecasts.
• Support month-end processes and reporting.
• Provide financial information to the Management Team.
• Integrate and maintain financial data across internal systems.
• Process invoices and maintain accurate records.
• Manage an accounts administrator.
• Complete regular bank reconciliations.
• Monitor payments, receipts and bank deposits.
