Job summary

Chase and Holland Recruitment Ltd on behalf of a growing SME client based in Rotherham is seeking a capable Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and work closely with the Managing Director.

This hands-on role offers variety and the chance to provide accurate financial information to inform business decisions, while developing financial processes and reporting across the finance function.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and financial processes.
• IT literate with Excel.
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy SME environment.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and journals.
• Preparing monthly management accounts.
• Producing detailed P&L analysis and highlighting key trends.
• Preparing cash-flow forecasts; supporting month-end processes and reporting.
• Providing financial information and reports to the wider Management Team.
• Integrating and maintaining financial data across internal systems.
• Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Managing an accounts administrator.
• Completing regular bank reconciliations.
• Monitoring payments, receipts and bank deposits.
• Managing credit control and debt collection.

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference?
We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing SME client based in Rotherham, who are looking for a capable and commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of their day-to-day finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, likes variety, and wants to work closely with the Managing Director and wider business. You'll play a key role in keeping the finances running smoothly, providing accurate financial information and helping the business make informed decisions.

What will you be doing?

• IT literate including excel
• The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy SME environment
• A proactive, flexible approach and willingness to learn new systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
