Job summary

The CFO HQ is seeking a Finance Manager to join a long-established business in Hertford, Hertfordshire. Reporting to the Finance Director with exposure to the Board, you will oversee day-to-day financial operations and prepare full management accounts.

The ideal candidate is a fully qualified accountant or finalist, with a proven track record in similar roles, strong initiative and analytical mindset. A market-leading salary (£55,000 - £65,000 per annum) and benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Accountant or finalist level (ACCA/CIMA/ACCA).
• Proven track record in similar Finance Manager roles.
• Good analytical and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day financial operations.
• Preparing full sets of management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations and P&L.
• Variance analysis against budget with leadership commentary.
• Streamlining month-end processes.
• Managing a small team of transactional staff.
• VAT submissions, bank reconciliations and payroll oversight.
