Job description

We are working alongside a fantastic SME business that has experienced organic growth over the past few years, and this positive trajectory continues. The company is now seeking a Finance Manager to join their team and support the current Board of Directors with internal reporting and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Fully responsible for producing the monthly management accounts pack across the business.
  2. Develop commentary to support the accounts for the Board, enabling informed decision-making.
  3. Analyze profit and loss accounts.
  4. Produce the trial balance and monitor transactional balances and reconciliations.
  5. Establish effective working relationships with operational managers.
  6. Develop the KPI reporting suite to provide visibility on stock, projects, and gross profit.
  7. Manage the fixed asset register, keeping it up to date, including leasing and asset cost base management.
  8. Supervise the finance function, supporting efficiencies within ledgers, improving timeframes, and fostering personal growth within the team.
Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have solid technical reporting experience at both month-end and year-end, preferably fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). Strong communication skills with all levels of internal personnel, including stakeholders, are essential, along with the ability to produce meaningful reports that enhance commercial visibility.
