Job summary

PLACR GROUP LTD in East Sussex is seeking a Finance Manager for a manufacturing business. You'll take ownership of management accounts, forecasting, financial control and reporting, reporting to the Financial Controller.

The role requires ACCA or CIMA or equivalent, with at least one year PQE, strong Excel and financial reporting skills, and the ability to deliver board‑level insights. This office‑based post offers excellent progression and a generous benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts.

• Oversee VAT, tax, payroll and pension reporting.
• Prepare year‑end audit information and liaise with external auditors.
• Support the Financial Controller with financial projects and wider business decisions.

The Opportunity

Are you a qualified accountant ready to step up into a Finance Manager role?

Placr Recruitment's client is looking for a commercially minded finance professional to join an established manufacturing business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of management accounts, forecasting, financial control and reporting while developing your experience across the wider finance function.

This could be an excellent next step for an accountant moving from practice into industry, or an experienced Assistant/Management Accountant looking to progress into Finance Management.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing, multi-company/multi-currency, Microsoft Dynamics AX or Sage experience would be advantageous.
