Job summary

A Finance Manager role in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, seeks a professional who can own month-end close, deliver management reporting and drive FP&A excellence. The role focuses on modernising finance processes and systems, with a strong emphasis on automation and AI-enabled insights.

You will collaborate with commercial, operational and leadership teams to provide meaningful financial analysis, support budgeting and forecasting, and help develop the finance function through process improvements

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Experience managing month-end and preparing management accounts.
• FP&A experience including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modelling.
• Proficient in Excel and handling financial data; ERP systems experience incl. Dynamics 365 BC.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and management reporting pack.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis.
• Develop and optimise Dynamics 365 BC to improve data quality.
• Partner with commercial, operational and leadership teams to provide insights.
• Support and develop finance team members, sharing knowledge.

Our client is for a Finance Manager who can do more than just report the numbers. We want someone who is comfortable managing month-end, understands financial planning and analysis, and is genuinely interested in how technology, automation and AI can improve the way a finance team operates.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of our monthly reporting while playing an important role in modernising our finance processes and systems.

What you'll be doing

• Month-end & reporting: Take ownership of the month-end close and management reporting pack, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
• FP&A & commercial analysis: Support budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis to help the business make better decisions.
• Systems improvement: Help develop and optimise Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, improving the quality and accessibility of financial data.
• Business partnering: Work closely with our commercial, operational and leadership teams to provide meaningful financial insight.
• Team development: Support and develop colleagues within the finance team, sharing knowledge and improving the way we work.

You'll ideally bring:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Strong experience managing month-end and preparing management accounts.
• FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modelling.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• Experience using ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Experience improving processes through automation and using AI tools to solve real business problems.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across different functions.
