Job summary

JSS in London is seeking a Finance Manager for a 18 month FTC to strengthen the finance function. You will own the reporting cycle, take charge of close and controls, and support audit and planning activities.

This hands-on role requires a qualified accountant with strong IFRS/UK GAAP grounding and the ability to mentor junior colleagues, with a collaborative, fast-moving environment and hybrid London work setup.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong IFRS/UK GAAP grounding.
• Mentoring or supervising junior colleagues experience.
• Ability to explain complex accounting to non-finance colleagues.

Finance Manager | PE Backed Financial Services Company | 18 Month FTC

A PE-backed financial services business is expanding fast, and I'm supporting them on a hire to strengthen their finance function for the next phase of growth.

This is a hands-on role for a Finance Manager who wants variety, visibility and a seat at the table on some of the business's more interesting projects. You'll own a busy reporting and controls calendar, support and guide a small team, and be a go-to person for colleagues across the wider business.

The role:

• Own a regular cycle of reporting, close and controls
• Take charge of statutory and technical accounting matters as they arise
• Partner with colleagues across the business on projects, change and transactions
• Strengthen processes and make better use of technology
• Support audit and planning activity throughout the year

About you:

• Qualified accountant with strong technical grounding in IFRS and UK GAAP
• Some experience mentoring or supervising junior colleagues (formal line management not essential)
• Confident communicator who can make complex accounting clear to non-finance colleagues
• Organised, adaptable and keen to improve how things are done
