Job description

LHH Recruitment Solutions are currently working with a fast-growing, private equity–backed business operating in a specialist global market to recruit a Qualified Accountant on a permanent basis. Following a recent carve‑out and merger, the company is entering an exciting phase of growth, with a focus on scaling operations, strengthening controls, and building a high‑performing finance function.

This is a broad, hands‑on Accountant role within a small, collaborative finance team. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and gain exposure across all areas of finance in a dynamic, multi‑entity international environment.

This position would suit a qualified accountant looking for their first move into industry, or someone who has experience of working in a sub £50m t/o business (PE backed would be desirable)

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in running day‑to‑day finance operations while supporting process improvement and control enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Close: Support month‑end close, including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and management reporting, plus audit and statutory requirements
• Revenue & Billing: Manage invoicing, revenue recognition and collaborate with commercial teams on contract and billing accuracy
• Procure-to-Pay & Payments: Oversee accounts payable, supplier controls, expense processes, and execution of payment runs
• Treasury & Cash Management: Manage multi‑currency bank accounts, reconciliations, intercompany funding, and support working capital oversight
• International, Compliance & Payroll: Handle intercompany accounting, support overseas entities, payroll postings, VAT, and statutory filings
• Process Improvement & Business Support: Drive controls, systems optimisation, budgeting/forecasting support, and partner with stakeholders on financial insights and KPIs

This is a fast paced and varied accounting role working within a small finance team. You will have exposure to senior leadership and so requires someone who is flexible, diligent and experienced in dealing with non finance.

The role requires travel to Central London 2-3 days a week and is paying £60-70k plus an excellent benefits package with generous holiday allowance.
