Job summary

Absolute Recruit Ltd. in London is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to lead its finance team and oversee day-to-day operations. You will manage cash flow, produce monthly management accounts, and oversee project costing and forecasting.

The ideal candidate will have ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience, with a track record of improving efficiency and reducing costs. This permanent role offers hybrid working with 1–2 days in the office.

Finance Manager

A growing Facilities Management business is looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to lead its finance team and oversee day-to-day operations. This role offers broad responsibility for cash flow, reporting and project finances, with scope to improve processes and develop the team.

Duties

• Lead and mentor the finance team, maintaining accurate processing and efficient daily operations.


• Manage cash flow forecasts, liquidity, working capital and credit control.


• Prepare monthly management accounts with clear financial analysis and commentary.


• Oversee project costing, billing, valuations and forecasts against budgets and timelines.


• Approve purchase orders and supplier invoices, manage supplier relationships and improve commercial terms.


• Strengthen finance processes and internal controls, ensuring financial and tax compliance.


• Identify cost savings, manage overhead reduction initiatives and oversee accurate, timely payroll.

Ideal candidate profile

• Experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller with strong day-to-day finance and cash flow management skills.


• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience.


• Sound knowledge of financial management, budgeting and forecasting, with a record of improving efficiency and reducing costs.


• A hands-on, detail-oriented leader who can develop a team and communicate confidently across the business.

Package

• £65,000–£70,000 per annum.
