Job summary

Absolute Recruit is partnering with a growing facilities management business in London to hire a hands-on Finance Manager. You will lead the finance team, manage cash flow, and oversee reporting, with scope to improve processes and performance.

The role is hybrid with 1–2 days in the office, permanent and UK-based. ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience is welcomed, with opportunities to develop a high-performing team and influence financial strategy.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting and forecasting.
• Track record of improving efficiency and reducing costs.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented leadership with team development and cross-business communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring accurate processing and daily efficiency.
• Manage cash flow forecasts, liquidity, working capital and credit control.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with clear analysis and commentary.
• Oversee project costing, billing, valuations and forecasts vs budgets.
• Approve purchase orders and supplier invoices, improve terms with suppliers.
• Strengthen finance processes and internal controls, ensuring compliance.
• Identify cost savings and overhead reductions; oversee payroll.
• Provide day-to-day finance leadership with strong cash flow management.

• A growing Facilities Management business is looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to lead its finance team and oversee day-to-day operations. This role offers broad responsibility for cash flow, reporting and project finances, with scope to improve processes and develop the team.

Duties

• Lead and mentor the finance team, maintaining accurate processing and efficient daily operations.
• Manage cash flow forecasts, liquidity, working capital and credit control.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with clear financial analysis and commentary.
• Oversee project costing, billing, valuations and forecasts against budgets and timelines.
• Approve purchase orders and supplier invoices, manage supplier relationships and improve commercial terms.
• Strengthen finance processes and internal controls, ensuring financial and tax compliance.
• Identify cost savings, manage overhead reduction initiatives and oversee accurate, timely payroll.
• Experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller with strong day-to-day finance and cash flow management skills.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Sound knowledge of financial management, budgeting and forecasting, with a record of improving efficiency and reducing costs.
• A hands-on, detail-oriented leader who can develop a team and communicate confidently across the business.
