Finance Project Manager

An NHS Organisation in Surrey are looking for a qualified Project Accountant to lead on a new finance project.

Daily rate: £31.44 Umbrella

Location: Surrey – 3 days on site
Duration: 3 months initially

Start: Immediately

Your duties will include:

- Lead Financial Projects: Oversee finance aspects of key transformation and operational projects, including a new financial ledger system.

- Project Management: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

- Process Mapping: Design and document financial processes and the chart of accounts to support system implementation.

- Data Migration Support: Collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure accurate and secure data migration.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, procurement, and operations to align project delivery with organisational goals.

- Budget Development: Create and manage detailed financial project plans and budgets.

- Forecasting & Analysis: Forecast expenditures, identify revenue opportunities, and conduct cost-benefit and feasibility analyses.

- Financial Monitoring: Track financial progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

- Strategic Support: Provide financial insights and data to support the organisation’s 5-year integrated long-term financial plan.

The successful candidate MUST:

  • Be ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent (part-qualified or qualified)
  • Master’s degree or MBA with a focus on Finance, Healthcare Management, or Project Management (preferred)
    • Have experience working in the NHS
