Hunter Jameson is seeking a Finance Manager to lead a team of Management Accountants, delivering accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets, and providing commercial financial insight to drive performance.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, challenge performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and financial control, combining technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills.

Competenze

• Qualified professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) required.
• Minimum five years of relevant finance experience in management accounting.
• Proven experience leading and developing a finance team.
• Strong business partnering, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in renewable energy or asset-intensive sectors advantageous.

In the role of Finance Manager, leading a team of Management Accountants, you will play a key role in supporting business growth and strategic decision-making.

The Role

As Finance Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Management Accountants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, insightful analysis and effective business partnering across the organisation.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing financial insight, challenging performance and identifying opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and financial control. Combining strong technical accounting expertise with excellent people management and communication skills, you will help ensure finance is a trusted and valued partner to the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Management Accountants, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
• Oversee the delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets.
• Provide meaningful financial analysis, reporting and commentary to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
• Build strong relationships with operational and senior management teams, providing proactive and commercially focused finance business partnering.
• Challenge financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive accountability across the business.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
• Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, systems and reporting.
• Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.

About You

You will be a confident finance professional who can combine technical expertise with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

You will bring:

• A recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• At least five years’ relevant finance experience, with a strong background in management accounting.
• Proven experience leading, managing or developing a finance team.
• Excellent finance business partnering skills, with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insight.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and driving business performance.

Experience within the renewable energy sector, or another asset-intensive industry, would be advantageous.
