Job summary

Eden Scott is recruiting for a fast-growing renewable energy business in the UK seeking an ambitious accounting professional to support projects through full lifecycle—from development and close to operational asset management. You will work with the Finance Manager across management and financial accounting, project accounting, and statutory reporting.

The role targets part-qualified or newly qualified accountants, with hybrid/flexible working and full study support for those pursuing

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years' experience within an accounting or finance role.
• ACCA, CIMA or ICAS underway or achieved.
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and core accounting principles.
• Experience preparing reconciliations, journals and month-end reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Support projects through their full lifecycle, from development and financial close through construction and into operational asset management.
• Work with the Finance Manager and help establish and develop finance processes as the business grows.
• Exposure across management accounting, financial accounting, project accounting, statutory reporting, and renewable energy investment structures.

The Opportunity

Our client is a rapidly growing renewable energy business with an expanding portfolio of assets across the UK. We are seeking an ambitious and commercially-minded accounting professional who is eager to build a career within the energy and infrastructure sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant looking to gain exposure beyond traditional finance roles. You will have the chance to support projects through their full lifecycle, from development and financial close through construction and into operational asset management. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in establishing and developing finance processes as the business continues to grow. This position offers broad exposure across management accounting, financial accounting, project accounting, statutory reporting, and renewable energy investment structures.

About You

Essential

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years' experience within an accounting or finance role.
