Job summary

Vantage Recruitment seeks a Finance Manager / Management Accountant to lead the company’s finance function in Derby. You will oversee monthly accounts, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow, reporting to the MD.

The role requires part/ full-time flexibility (4 days per week possible), hands-on management and strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Membership of a professional accountancy body such as CIMA/ACCA/ACA or AAT level 3+
• Experience in monthly management accounts, budgeting and cashflow forecasting is essential
• Proven ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Production of monthly financial and management accounts and reports to senior management
• Production of budgets, outturns and forecasts
• Business performance analysis and variance analysis
• Treasury and cashflow forecasting
• VAT returns and PAYE/NI payments coordination
• Payroll coordination with external payroll bureau
• Liaison with pension providers, insurers and HMRC; year-end accounts with Auditors

Finance Manager / Management Accountant, Derby based, £38-45k depending on experience,CIMA, ACCA or AAT Part/ Recently Qualified Full time or 4 days per week, interim or perm

Would you like to be a pivotal part of an organisation where you will be responsible for the operation of the companies finance function?

We are seeking to recruit a talented Finance Manager / Management Accountant reporting to the Managing Director.

If you are a proactive self-starter with both a management and hands on approach and able to build relationships both within and external to the Company we would like to hear from you.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Production of monthly financial and management accounts, analysis and presentation to senior management.
• Production of budgets, outturns and forecasts.
• Business performance analysis and variance analysis.
• Treasury and cashflow forecasting.
• Production and submission of VAT return and PAYE, NI payments.
• Company payroll coordination and liaising with external payroll bureau for compilation.
• Day to day management of external service suppliers e.g., pension providers, insurance companies, health insurance, HMRC.
• Production of year end annual accounts and liaising with Auditors.

As the Finance Manager / Management Accountant you will have:

• Membership of a Professional accountancy body, such as CIMA/ACCA/ACA ort have AAT's level 3 and above and be Part or Recently Qualified.
• Great communication skills and an ability to explain financial terms in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Sage 50 Cloud expertise.
• Strong MS Office skills in particular Excel.
• Process and system improvement skills.
