Job summary

Juice Recruitment Ltd is assisting an SME in Bath with a part-time Finance Manager role. You will maintain accurate records, prepare management accounts, and oversee VAT compliance, working closely with the senior leadership team.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple priorities, deliver precise reporting, support budgeting and year-end packs, and help shape the finance function with new technology in an agile, collaborative environment. Hybrid role with some office presence.

Qualifications

• Experience with management accounts and VAT returns
• Strong IT proficiency, particularly with spreadsheets and accounting software
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
• AAT study support preferred or allowed

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records using accounting software
• Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns and manage statutory deadlines
• Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts and respond to director queries
• Process monthly payroll and assist with year-end financial reporting
• Prepare annual budgets and year-end packs for external accountants
• Perform monthly reconciliations ensuring data accuracy
• Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a part-time role? Are you able to work closely with a senior leadership team and provide meaningful analysis?

We are recruiting for an established SME who are recruiting a dedicated Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

We are looking for someone who is able to take charge of maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management accounts and ensuring VAT compliance.

The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, managing multiple priorities and delivering precise financial reporting to support a growing organisation's success.

• Maintain and update financial records using accounting software
• Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns and manage statutory deadlines
• Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts and respond to director queries
• Process monthly payroll and assist with year-end financial reporting
• Prepare annual budgets and year-end packs for external accountants
• Perform monthly reconciliations ensuring data accuracy
• Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently

WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE:

• Experience working with management accounts and VAT returns
• AAT Level 3 or 4
