Qualifications

Job description

NXTGEN is partnering with a growing business in the Services Industry, currently seeking a Finance Manager to support the Financial Controller and the wider leadership team. This role offers a varied workload, exposure, and opportunities for long-term progression.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for key activities such as the month-end close, regulatory submissions, and cash flow management. The role also involves supporting key reporting cycles and deputising for the Financial Controller when necessary.

What you'll be doing:

1. Contribute to the ongoing delivery of the IFPR reporting framework, including quarterly returns
2. Approve purchase invoices and employee expenses, review ledgers, and support payroll sign-off
3. Monitor company cash flow and track key expenditure to ensure effective forecasting
4. Compile and submit regulatory returns in line with reporting deadlines
5. Help manage the external audit process, liaising with auditors as needed
6. Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review the P&L
7. Support the production of year-end financial statements in compliance with IFRS
8. Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant financial standards and regulations
9. Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting, with variance analysis and insights

What we're looking for:

1. Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
2. At least 5 years' experience within a finance function
3. Strong grounding in both financial and management reporting
4. Experience within a regulated financial services environment is highly desirable
5. Confident user of ERP and general ledger systems, with NetSuite being ideal
6. Excellent Excel skills and ability to present data effectively in PowerPoint
7. Detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
