Trostan Dene is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant/Finance Manager in the East Lancashire area. The role focuses on partner to operations, with monthly site visits to support month-end processes and deliver meaningful financial insight.

You will oversee financial operations, ensure accurate reporting and budgeting, and provide strategic guidance to senior management to improve profitability and efficiency.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.

• Monitor KPIs relevant to performance and efficiency.
• Mentor the wider finance team and promote continuous learning.

Management Accountant/Finance Manager | East Lancashire | £45-50k | Permanent

We're supporting a well-established manufacturing business in the East Lancashire area as they look to appoint a commercially minded Management Accountant/Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This isn't a direct people-management role.

This isn't just a desk-based role - you'll be a key partner to operational teams, occasionally (once a month maximum) visiting additional sites to support month-end processes, improve reporting accuracy, and provide meaningful financial insight.

As Management Accountant/Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a manufacturing company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with financial regulations. This role involves the individual working as part of a team, providing strategic financial guidance to the senior management team, monitoring company performance, and supporting cost control initiatives to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal company policies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets
• Coordinate external audits and manage the relationship with auditors.
• Analyse costs, identifying areas for improvement and cost reduction.
• Implement cost control measures across operations, including inventory management, procurement, and production processes.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to performance and efficiency.
• Mentor the wider finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
