KennedyPearce is hiring a Finance Manager / Assistant Financial Controller

Location: West London (1 day in-office, rest remote)

Duration: 12-month mat cover, starting from MID OCTOBER

We are seeking candidates available to start in October. The ideal candidate will be an ACA audit qualified professional (or equivalent) with over 3 years of post-qualified experience. This role offers a blend of commercial and reporting responsibilities, suitable for a hands-on, qualified accountant.

Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to increasing profitability by working closely with sales and marketing teams.
2. Collaborate with the country manager to analyze and optimize commercial spend, including Trade Spend and marketing.
3. Assist in creating financial forecasts and business plans.
4. Support the sales director with pricing decisions.
5. Prepare and process monthly Trade Spend, working with the Sales team for accuracy.
6. Coordinate and process monthly payroll for UK and Ireland entities.
7. Review daily bookkeeping for the group.
8. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual account closures.
9. Manage statutory reporting and liaise with auditors.
10. Review VAT returns for UK and Ireland.
11. Handle Intrastat, EC Sales List/VIES reporting, and submissions.
12. Review and submit Sugar Tax reporting in Ireland.
13. Manage the annual statutory audit and financial statement preparation under IFRS.
14. Oversee accounts receivable and payable.
15. Review certain balance sheet reconciliations.
16. Assist with reporting, invoicing queries, and ad hoc projects including budgeting.

Candidate Profile:

• Ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvements through change.
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA) with 3+ years post-qualification experience.
