Job summary

Appoint Consulting ltd is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a thriving, family-owned business. This role offers the option to work 2 days per week from home and a hybrid hybrid work arrangement.

You will deliver timely financial reporting, support budgeting and planning, and provide commercial insight to ensure finance processes run smoothly. NetSuite experience is desirable but not essential for consideration.

Qualifications

• Strong NetSuite experience in a finance environment is beneficial.
• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Retail or product-based experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Manage bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Liaise with procurement regarding budgets.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage petty cash, expense claims, and corporate card reconciliations.
• Support payroll processing and review payroll-related entries.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join a thriving, family-owned business. This position has the option to work 2 days per week from home.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the business, delivering timely financial reporting, supporting budgeting and financial planning, providing valuable commercial insight, and ensuring finance processes run smoothly and efficiently. Experience using NetSuite is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Manage bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Liaise with other areas in the business such as procurement regarding budgets
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Manage petty cash, expense claims, and corporate credit card reconciliations
• Support payroll processing and review payroll-related entries when required
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including management accounts and cost centre P&L
• Support budget preparation, monitoring variances and highlighting issues to management
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits
• Respond to finance queries

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience using NetSuite within a finance environment would be beneficial
• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Experience within retail or product-based environments is beneficial but not essential
