Your Recruitment Coach Ltd in St Neots, Cambridgeshire is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to own and run the finance function end-to-end for a fast-growing investment company. Based in St Neots with hybrid/office work, you will manage core accounting, month-end closes, VAT, payroll and statutory accounts, while providing strategic financial insight to support acquisitions and commercial decisions.

• Proven track record in a senior finance role within investment/private equity environments.
• Advanced proficiency with Xero and automation integrations.
• Experience with VAT, tax compliance and payroll processes.
• Strong ability to build forecasts and budgets.
• Excellent communication with founders and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bookkeeping across group entities and intercompany transactions.
• Own month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage VAT, payroll, and statutory accounts with external auditors.
• Develop budgets, rolling forecasts and cash flow models.
• Produce monthly management packs with commentary for founders.
• Lead financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration support.
• Drive improvements in controls and automation within Xero ecosystem.
• Provide strategic financial insights to drive decision making.
