Job summary

DLA Piper LLP is seeking an experienced Finance lawyer / Knowledge lawyer to join our UK Finance Practice Group Knowledge team as a Knowledge Development Lawyer in any UK office. This role supports Finance & Markets, Real Estate Finance and Debt Finance across ~100 UK lawyers and regularly assists other jurisdictions.

Reporting to the Group Head of Knowledge, you will develop training materials, templates and tools, manage knowledge resources, and help drive innovative drafting and review

Qualifications

Senior-level professional with extensive finance law experience.
Qualified lawyer with experience at senior level (Legal Director or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of Finance practice areas including Real Estate Finance and Debt Finance.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
Good understanding of AI and legal innovation and how Knowledge adds value.
Ability to engage with partners and fee-earners at all levels.

Responsibilities

Keeping the Finance Excellence and other key reference material up to date.
Acting as Co-Secretary and guiding the Legal Opinion Committee.
Providing guidance to partners and fee-earners on points of law for live matters.
Leading on trainee seat inductions and fee earner training.
Maintenance of key Finance client internal resource sites and ensuring compliance with client terms.
Representing the firm at the City Finance PSL Network Group and ensuring cross-group information sharing.
