This is a fantastic opportunity to lead an established finance function and to lead it through a transformation of its systems and processes.

This role is key to driving operational excellence as the business grows and expands in its challenging sector.

Our client is looking for someone who is well established as a senior finance professional or one that is looking to move into their first Finance Director role.

Responsibilities
  • Own the accounting and financial operations function and work closely with our external accounting partners to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and approve month-end close, payroll, balance sheet control, annual audit prep, and reporting.
  • Build metrics dashboards and budgets for the group.
  • Provide strategic insights to improve operational performance.
  • Drive improvements in finance systems and processes as part of ongoing transformation projects.
Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA having held senior roles previoiusly.
  • Expertise includes funding, treasury, tax, FP&A and finance transformation incorporating systems, digital integrations and insight led reporting.
  • Charities experience would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience of transforming finance functions and systems.
  • Experience working within charitable enviornments.
  • Strong understanding of VAT, and audit processes
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills
