Kings Place is seeking a Finance Director to oversee long-term financial sustainability, balancing charitable and artistic aims with commercial performance. You will lead the finance function, provide robust forecasting, and work with Trustees to guide strategic decisions.
The role requires a qualified accountant with senior leadership experience, strong technical analysis, and excellent communication. Hybrid working is offered, with on-site meetings and remote tasks acceptable.
This is a broad leadership role with responsibility for the long-term financial sustainability of KPMF, balancing our charitable and artistic ambitions with commercial performance. The Finance Director will work closely with the Executive Director, Directors and Trustees, providing clear financial analysis, advice and robust cashflow forecasting to support good decision-making across the organisation.
Alongside leading the Finance team and overseeing budgeting, forecasting, management and statutory reporting, the Finance Director will play an important part in funding strategy, organisational planning, risk management and the continued development of our systems and processes.
We are particularly interested in someone who can bring strong commercial and financial judgement to the role and work collaboratively with colleagues across KPMF. You will help teams understand the financial drivers behind their work, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and income, and make effective use of technology, automation and AI to improve our financial reporting and processes.
You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) or qualified by experience, with significant experience in a senior finance leadership role and a strong track record in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical and analytical skills with excellent communication and people skills. You'll be comfortable working with Trustees and senior colleagues, able to make complex financial information accessible to non-finance colleagues and enjoy working collaboratively across an organisation. Experience in the charity or non-profit sector is essential, with experience in arts, culture, venues or events particularly welcome.
